COVID-19 – Hygiene Measures in Our Clinics

To ensure the safety of our patients and our employees, we comply with the hygiene recommendations issued by the Ordre des optométristes du Québec and the Ordre des opticiens d’ordonnances du Québec, in addition to following government directives.

In order to maintain social distancing, we limit the number of people present in the clinic at one time. Among other things, we encourage making appointments for all the services offered in the clinic. We have also reviewed the layout of some furniture and equipment.

We clean the surfaces of the consultation areas after each client. We also clean the devices you use with a disinfectant each time you use them. As for our team members, they make sure to wash their hands or disinfect them very regularly, after any contact with a patient or other team members, and before and after any handling of equipment.

We place antibacterial solutions, tissues and trash cans at your disposal to limit the spread of the virus.

We have eliminated contacts like handshakes. Our team members wear the equipment required to ensure your protection. This can vary depending on the interaction with each patient. For example, they could wear a mask, gloves, a lab coat, a protective gown, goggles or a face shield.

Any person who is suspected of having COVID-19 is asked to not come to the clinic. We then carry out a second verification with each patient who arrives, by questioning them on the criteria listed below. If a patient is identified as being at risk, we will ask them to leave immediately. We subject the members of our teams to the same verifications. In the event that one of our members meets a criterion, we will immediately take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of all.

If you have an appointment scheduled in one of our clinics, please contact us to postpone your appointment if:

  • You have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • You have symptoms of fever, cough, diificulty beathing and/or sudden loss of sense of smell without nasal congestion.
  • You came back from a trip in a foreign county in the last 14 days.
  • You have been exposed to biological materials that could contain COVID-19.
  • You have been in close contact in the last 14 days with someone who responds to the previous criteria.

Also, if you are in one of these situations, please call 1 877 644-4545 to learn more about what to do.
