MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day contact lenses are designed to provide clear vision every day, while helping to slow the progression of myopia in children ¹–³.
 

A technology designed for the management of myopia

MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day contact lenses feature ActivControl® technology, which combines vision correction and treatment zones.

This design is based on alternating optical zones: some ensure clear vision, while others create a specific visual signal intended to slow the elongation of the eye, a key factor in the progression of myopia.

Designed for children's everyday lives

Designed with children’s daily lives and parents’ peace of mind in mind, MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day contact lenses combine clinical and practical benefits. They are highly oxygen-permeable, helping to keep eyes clear, white, and healthy⁴. They also feature a UV filter to help protect children’s eyes †.

Designed for daily, single-use wear, they offer a practical and safe⁵ solution for everyday contact lens wear: you wear them, then discard them after each use.
 

A solution that adapts over time

When wearing lenses designed to manage myopia is no longer recommended, a transition to other lenses in the MyDay® line may be considered, as recommended by an eye care professional.

MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day contact lenses are made from the same material and are based on a platform similar to that of MyDay® lenses, which are known for their comfort. This consistency can make it easier to transition to a standard vision correction solution, depending on the child’s visual needs and changes in their prescription.

 

A solution to discuss with your eye care professional

MyDay® MiSight® 1-Day contact lenses may be suitable for some children as part of a myopia management program. Talk to your Opto-Réseau eye care professional to find out if this solution is right for your child.

VISUAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN

1- At what age should the first eye exam be?

Unless there are concerns from the parent, a first eye exam is recommended starting at age 3.

2- Do screens impact children's visual health?

Similar to adults, prolonged screen use can cause symptoms of eye strain and dryness in children.

3- Are visual problems hereditary?

Genetics is one of the factors that increases the risk of developing certain eye diseases or conditions.

4- What is the cost of an eye exam for children?

Before the age of 18, regular eye exams are covered by RAMQ.
