Makeup trends for 2015 are shaping up to be very feminine—and a perfect match for glasses, much to our delight! This year’s watchword is “Dare!” So here are a few tips on making the most of these hot new trends when you wear glasses.

Bold eyebrows

Eyebrows can totally redefine your face and give it character. We take our inspiration from Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins, who know a thing or two about killer brows! The trick is to adapt your eyebrow line to the curve of your glasses. Start by ensuring that your eyebrow starts at the inner corner of the eye and ends at the outer corner, then tweak the curve of your brows so that your frames don’t hide them. The result? Eyes that that would look right at home on fashion runways all around the globe!

Glowing and pure, the natural look is a top trend for 2015. Our inspiration? Kate Bosworth, who always has such a glowingly perfect complexion! For a successful natural look, apply illuminator on the high points of your face, and some pink blush for a hint of color. For the eyes, pick a neutral shadow in shades of beige or pink. Top it all off with a coat of mascara and you’re done—a few simple steps for maximum impact. Natural-style makeup also lends itself well to more colourful frames.

Eyeliner makes the eyes look bigger, whereas glasses often do the opposite. But the bigger your frames, the thicker the line you can use to showcase your eyes. We take our cue from Adele and Alexa Chung. Whether you opt for gel or pencil eyeliner, make sure you stick as close as possible to the eyelash line for optimum effect. Having trouble getting that little “wing” on the outside corner of the eye right? Try sticking a little piece of tape at an angle beside your eye and draw your line. Remove the tape and you’ll have a perfect angle. And if you’re planning a night out, why not give some glitter eyeliner a try!

Flaming lips

With your eyes already the centre of attention, you can create a new focal point by spicing up your lips! Flamboyant reds with orange subtones are all the rage this year, cranking up the heat and the dazzle factor. Red looks fabulous against a contrasting black frame. To enhance your lipstick’s hold, blot your lips with a tissue, then gently apply loose power with a makeup brush.
