Summer is not quite over, but the hottest trends for fall 2014 are already hitting stores. Let’s take a closer look at what the coming season has in store!

As renowned firm Pantone’s top colour for fall 2014, sangria is the new red. Vibrant yet discreet, it’s guaranteed to make your look pop—especially in classic-fit clothing paired with neutral accessories. And sangria is making a splash in more than just apparel, it’s also hot in cosmetics!

The perfect balance between casual and classic. The iconic “grunge plaid” central to this trend is mixed with other modern prints like floral patterns to create a stunning and bold combination. Play around with materials and layers to create edgy yet romantic looks.

The military look is gonna be big this fall. It’s all about structured cuts, rigid materials, roomy upper body, and neutral, layered colours. Obviously khaki is king here, but now it’s mixed with deconstructed camo prints and black and white accents.

All black

It’s back to basics for this trend. Head-to-toe black is where it’s at. Spotted at shows by Jason Wu, Lanvin, and others, this classic is a must this fall. Mix textures, dare to add volume, and play with contrasting shades for a suave and sophisticated look. As with the other trends, comfort is key, so choose soft and loose-fitting materials.
